Airbnb announces changes to guest policies

Airbnb has introduced a new rules policy aimed at eliminating checkout chores after years of customer complaints about unreasonable host demands. Under the updated guidelines, hosts are generally prohibited from requiring guests to strip bedsheets, do laundry, wash and put away dishes, or haul trash off-site. The short-term rental platform is also standardizing house rules into seven transparent categories while banning host-imposed fines and unauthorized secondary rental contracts.
