Trump: Fort Hood execution will not be livestreamed

After it was announced that Nidal Hassan would be put to death by US Army firing squad, the Pentagon announced the execution would be livestreamed for the American public to watch. Following backlash over that decision, President Trump announced on Thursday that the execution would not be streamed, but that families of the victims could attend if they want to watch. Hassan was convicted of killing 13 unarmed Americans at the base in Fort Hood, Texas in 2009, also injuring more than 30 others.
