Andrew Brown Jr. shooting: $30M federal lawsuit filed by family

The family of Andrew Brown Jr., who was killed by officers in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, have filed a federal lawsuit against the officers involved in the shooting. The lawsuit, which also names the sheriffs in Pasquotank and Dare counties, seeks at least $30 million in compensatory and punitive damages. An independent autopsy indicated Brown Jr. was struck by four bullets in the arm before the fatal shot to the back of the head, which his family described as an "execution."
