We are now hearing that at least one person is dead after an overnight crash in Oregon. Reports indicate that the crash took place at a Portland social club and a major police investigation was launched after authorities discovered possible explosives inside the vehicle. Officials say Portland Fire and Rescue responded in the early morning hours on Saturday to a report that a vehicle had crashed through the front entrance of the Multnomah Athletic Club. We have learned from initial reporting that after the fire was controlled, one person was found dead inside the car.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla visited the United States April 27 - 30, 2026, to mark the 250th anniversary of the country’s independence from England.   Their four-day visit included a welcome at the White House from President Trump and the first lady, King Charles III giving a speech before a Joint Meeting of Congress and a State Dinner at the White House.   The king and queen made a visit to New York City where they visited the 9/11 Memorial and placed bouquet of flowers and note at the site, attended an event at the New York Public Library.  Their final day in the U.S. included a formal farewell at the White House with the president and first lady and a visit to Arlington National Cemetery where they placed a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  They then traveled to Front Royal, Va. where they attended an America 250 Block Party.  The king then visited Shenandoah National Park and the queen visited a horse farm.   The king then departed the U.S. with a formal sendoff at Joint Base Andrews as he traveled to Bermuda while the queen returned home.
