Miya Marcono's family sues sheriff's office

Miya Marcano, the Florida college student who went missing in 2021, and was later found dead in a wooded area, is now suing the Orange County Sheriff's Office over her cause of death. The family claims Miya went to the sheriff's office repeatedly to make reports on the alleged attacker, Armando Caballero, who was a maintenance worker at the college she attended.

The "Take Care of Maya" trial, about Maya Kowalski popularized on Netflix, has begun. Opening statements are underway for the family of Beata Kowalski, who was falsely accused of child abuse. The Kowalski is suing All Children’s Hospital for $200 million.
