We are learning more this Thursday as a third and final storm of the week brings another round of strong winds, rain, and mountain snow to parts of Southern California. Reports show a winter storm warning remaining in place for the San Bernardino County mountains through 9 a.m. Friday. The National Weather Service also warns of hazardous conditions due to winds gusting as high as 70 mph and up to an additional 10 inches of snowfall. We are learning more as Mark Zuckerberg testifies in a watershed social media trial that questions whether his company’s platforms are addictive to children. The Meta CEO took the stand in Los Angeles Superior Court in the trial, marking his first time answering youth safety allegations before a jury. According to the Associated Press, opposing lawyers dueled in the courtroom over a number of topics including internal advice Zuckerberg has received about being "authentic" and not "robotic. Noem talks ‘targeted operations’ while in California

We are hearing from United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem who spoke in Otay Mesa in California on Thursday. Secretary Noem highlighted the Trump Administration’s border security and drug-seizure efforts during her remarks. Customs and Border Protection officials joined Noem at the press conference where she was asked about recent operations conducted by federal law enforcement officials in Minnesota. This comes as Border Czar Tom Homan announces the Trump administration will end the current ICE surge in Minnesota after reaching agreements with local authorities.

A 36-year-old man was stabbed nearly 180 times at a California state prison and someone inside captured video of the gruesome death before leaking it to the outside, where it went viral on social media.

EPA takes aim at Tijuana sewage crisis, Zeldin speaks

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin spoke on Thursday from San Diego County. He discussed the decades-old Tijuana sewage crisis that has remained a problem for the South Bay community. Zeldin is the 17th administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency and was sworn in on January 29, 2025. He has made it a priority to deliver a “100% solution” to the reported sewage problem that has impacted Imperial Beach. While in California, Zeldin met with small business owners and elected officials who say they have been impacted by what has often been described as a long-standing environmental issue in the area. 

Suspected DUI driver dances after LAPD pursuit

We have the latest tonight after a woman is in custody after leading police on a chase across Los Angeles. Reports say that the woman was initially wanted for a possible DUI before the chase began involving the Los Angeles Police Department. Our partners at FOX 11 in Los Angeles say that over the course of the chase, the suspect drove around Koreatown before eventually giving up in Westlake. It appeared the woman did a little dance around the vehicle before immediately getting placed in handcuffs after getting out of her car while surrounded by LAPD. According to early reports, it is unknown if the suspect was linked to any other crimes.

The first statewide California gubernatorial debate gave voters an early look at the candidates who are currently thought to be competing in a wide-open race. A total of seven candidates faced off on hot-button issues like crime, immigration, health care, and homelessness. We are also learning that former Vice President Kamala Harris just reactivated her 2024 campaign account and teased an announcement for tomorrow. Ryan Wedding appears in court amid drug case

Ryan Wedding, a former Olympic snowboarder who landed on the FBI’s "Most Wanted," appeared in a California court on Monday. Wedding, 44, was taken into custody on Friday and is accused of running a drug trafficking operation. Officials have said he also orchestrated several killings to further the alleged drug crimes.

The pair of lawmakers are speaking in California City on the condition of detained individuals. This comes as the Trump administration continues deportation efforts across the country.
