We are learning the latest after prosecutors said Wednesday that singer D4vd killed 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez by stabbing her multiple times. According to our partners at FOX 11 Los Angeles, a document filed this week provided the first detailed allegations of efforts to dismember Rivas Hernandez’s body and get rid of evidence. LiveNOW’s Anna Marsick is speaking with criminal defense attorney Silva Megerditchian after the teen’s body was found decomposing in a Tesla towed from the Hollywood Hills in September of last year. 

Cole Tomas Allen appeared in court on Monday. He is reportedly facing charges including attempted assassination of the president and firearms offenses after the White House Correspondents’ Dinner shooting. Allen’s sister, who lives in Maryland, told investigators her brother had legally purchased several weapons from a California gun store and kept them at their parents’ home. This comes after the September 2025 discovery of the victim’s body, which police say was found dismembered in the entertainer’s Tesla. Hernandez’s family had reported her missing from her hometown of Lake Elsinore, California, roughly 70 miles southeast of Los Angeles. We are now learning that D4vd pleaded not guilty on Monday to the murder charge.

We are watching as California Attorney General Rob Bonta and the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) announce the takedown of a $267 million healthcare fraud ring in the state. Bonta said during a press conference detailing the operation on Thursday that the investigation culminated with search and arrest warrants executed at 12 locations across Southern California. Known as "Operation Skip Trace," law enforcement reportedly seized $757,000 in cash and two firearms during the raids.
