Congress is now days away from a partial government shutdown because Senate Democrats say they won't advance a funding bill that includes the Department of Homeland Security. Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX) says Democrats need to come to the table.

The Demotion also comes hours after Bovino and several federal agents were removed from Minnesota following weeks of protests. The group has been ordered to leave the immediately. Mayor Frey says he plans to meet Border Czar Tom Homan on Tuesday to discuss how to move forward.

An enormous winter storm has dumped sleet, freezing rain, and snow across much of the United States this weekend, paralyzing air and road traffic while sending temperatures plunging. We have learned that at least 182 million people were under watches or warnings for ice and snow. According to FOX Weather, the highest snow accumulation reached 23.3 inches in New Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and the greatest ice total was 1.0 inch in Oxford, Mississippi. A chance for a partial government shutdown grows larger by the day as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer threatens that Democrats will vote against a federal spending bill set to get a vote this week. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt previously said that all the bills wrapped into the spending package are the product of bipartisan negotiations between the House and Senate. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is speaking with Cami Mondeaux, a congressional correspondent for Deseret News, who covers both the House and Senate. 

Ryan Wedding, a former Olympic snowboarder who landed on the FBI’s "Most Wanted," appeared in a California court on Monday. Wedding, 44, was taken into custody on Friday and is accused of running a drug trafficking operation. Officials have said he also orchestrated several killings to further the alleged drug crimes. 

Reportedly Greg Bovino and Border Patrol (CPB) are being sent home from the Minneapolis, Minnesota area after a shake up of leadership of federal law enforcement in the area. The news comes on the heels of a call between Governor Tim Walz and President Trump. Tom Homan has been sent to the area to help lead efforts which Kristi Noem has been overseeing. 

Reports have previously shown protesters in Minnesota targeting hotels where federal agents are believed to be staying. State officials say demonstrators damaged a hotel in Dinkytown on Sunday night, leading to a law enforcement response with federal agents who appeared to use tear gas to disperse the crowd. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt held a briefing with reporters amid the ongoing surge of immigration operations and protests in Minnesota. Leavitt laid out the Trump Administration's demands for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other leaders in the state.

A federal judge began hearing arguments on the immigration crackdown in Minnesota. U.S. District Judge Katherine Menendez did not issue a ruling on Monday. The state of Minnesota and the cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul sued the Trump administration earlier this month, following the fatal shooting of Renee Good. Minneapolis Attorney General Keith Ellison and Assistant Attorney General Brian Carter spoke about the case outside of court.
