Michigan reported the first two U.S. deaths linked to the ongoing cyclospora outbreak, with both victims having underlying health conditions, according to state officials. The number of reported cases continues to climb, surpassing 11,000 as health officials monitor the spread. A license plate reader in Polk County, Florida led deputies to a suspect with an outstanding probation violation warrant before a confrontation ended in a fatal shooting, according to Sheriff Grady Judd. Deputies said they found 46-year-old Larry Riles in a dark blue Chevy Captiva parked in front of a Subway near Walbash and Memorial Boulevard. Riles, an Uber driver whose vehicle carried an Uber sign in the windshield, backed into a parking spot to hide his license plate after noticing deputies in the area, according to Judd.
