President Trump is threatening to block the opening of a new bridge connecting the US and Canada. Trump said he would “not allow” the opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge, in a post on Truth Social Monday. Major construction on the bridge is complete, and it’s expected to open this year after a period of testing. Here's what the President wrote on Truth Social: “I will not allow this bridge to open until the United States is fully compensated for everything we have given them, and also, importantly, Canada treats the United States with the Fairness and Respect that we deserve. We will start negotiations, IMMEDIATELY.”

The U.S. Southern Command says Joint Force Southern Command conducted a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by designated terrorist organizations killing 2 and leaving a lone survivor. The command says the vessel was traveling along a known NARCO-trafficking route in the Eastern Pacific. The Coast Guard had to activate the search and rescue system to capture the person who survived the strike.

Police have confirmed a student was shot and local police were dispatched to the school at 2:15 p.m. on Monday after reports of shots fired inside the school. According to police reports, one student was shot during the incident, and is in stable condition. Police have not released any details about the victim or the suspect. It may not come, as both are reportedly minors. Officials say they say there is no further threat to public safety. The suspect, also a student, was arrested a short time later near the school.
