According to the latest reports, federal agents have seized electronic devices belonging to former East Bay Congressman Eric Swalwell. According to our partners at FOX 2 San Francisco, agents executed the seizures on Saturday. Democrat Aisha Wahab won a highly-contested special election to represent California's 14th Congressional District. She defeated Melissa Hernandez, the president of the Bay Area Rapid Transit board, to serve the remaining months in former Rep. Eric Swalwell's term. Wahab is now the first Afghan American to serve in the U.S. Congress. Swalwell resigned from Congress and suspended his campaign for California governor after allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.

Update: Deadly plane-helicopter collision in PA

Officials from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) provided an update on the deadly collision between a small plane and a state police helicopter in Carlisle, Pennsylvania on Wednesday. The pilot of the plane was killed, and the two troopers onboard the helicopter survived the crash. Investigators are working to determine what may have caused the plane to suddenly change direction and strike the helicopter.

During a White House Rose Garden event on Thursday, First Lady Melania Trump announced a new initiative for young adults transitioning out of foster care in the United States. As part of its "Fostering the Future" initiative, the White House is partnering with IndyCar, Fox Corporation, Indiana University and Purdue University to provide scholarships, and expand academic and career opportunities for those in foster care.
