We are getting the latest information this Sunday as the Mexican army reportedly kills the leader of the Jalisco New Generation Cartel. According to the Mexican government, Oseguera Cervantes, "El Mencho," was wounded during a capture operation and died while being flown to Mexico City. According to the Associated Press, the killing sparked road blocks with burning vehicles and reported attacks at the Puerto Vallarta airport. This comes as major snowfall still remains across much of the state. According to our partners at Fox Weather, total accumulations for the New York City area are expected to be between 16 and 24 inches, while parts of New Jersey could see 20–30 inches. Governor Hochul’s remarks came after New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani declared a state of emergency for the city’s five boroughs.
