On Friday, National Transportation Safety Board officials held a virtual press briefing to provide the latest information on a fatal charter plane crash in western Alaska that happened on Thursday. The aircraft, carrying eight people, crashed near a remote military radar site at Cape Newenham, approximately 450 miles west of Anchorage. All eight people on board were killed, according to the U.S. military.
