The report says soldiers from the U.S. Army's 82nd Airborne Division, currently stationed at Fort Bragg, are expected to be among those deployed. When asked recently about the possibility of the U.S. participating in talks to end the war, press secretary Karoline Leavitt reportedly said that "these are sensitive diplomatic discussions and the U.S. will not negotiate through the press."
