Ryan Schmelz

I joined LiveNOW from Fox in 2026 after spending more than three years in Washington, D.C., covering Capitol Hill and the White House for Fox News Radio.

During my time in Washington, I also served as Treasurer of the Radio & Television Correspondents’ Association and was honored to become one of the first two-time recipients of the Fox News Spotlight Award.

Before joining Fox, I worked in local TV news in Cleveland, Lexington, Albuquerque and Texas, where I also served as a volunteer firefighter during my time in the Lone Star State.

I was born in Maryland and attended the University of Mississippi — Hotty Toddy!

When I’m not working, you can find me on the dance floor teaching country swing or two-step lessons, fishing, spending time with family, or watching football and wrestling.
