Sidney Kibrick, the last original 'Our Gang' actor, dies at 97

LOS ANGELES - Sidney Kibrick, one of the original cast members of the 1930s film shorts "Our Gang/Little Rascals," has died.
He was 97 years old.
Kibrick died over the weekend at a hospital in Northridge, California, The Hollywood Reporter said.
Kibrick was the last surviving member of the original "Little Rascals" cast.

The backstory:
Kibrick was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on July 2, 1928.
His family moved to Los Angeles, California, when he was still young and it was there when he was discovered by an agent during a family trip to the movies. He began his Hollywood career at the age of five.
Kibrick was cast as Woim and appeared in dozens of "Our Gang/Little Rascals" shorts throughout the 1930s. The "Our Gang" shorts would later be titled "The Little Rascals" after it was sold to MGM for syndication in the 1950s.
By the time he was 15, Kibrick decided to leave his acting career behind and attended the University of Southern California and became a real estate developer.
Kibrick is survived by his daughter, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his partner.
