Bose issued a recall for 634,759 lithium-ion battery packs over overheating issues.

The packs can overheat and ignite, posing a risk of injury from fire and overheating hazards, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

The Bose Corporation received seven reports of the battery packs melting, producing smoke or catching fire, including six reports of property damage, but there were no reports of injuries.

Which lithium-ion battery packs were recalled?

Why you should care:

What you can do:

Consumers should remove the recalled battery packs installed in any S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ Portable Bluetooth Speaker Systems and stop using them immediately.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, when the battery pack is removed, consumers may continue to use their S1 Pro and S1 Pro+ Portable Bluetooth
