Fight at St. Louis Jimmy John's leads to shooting of teen girl

A fight at a St. Louis Jimmy John’s restaurant escalated to a shooting of a 14-year-old girl.
St. Louis Metropolitan Police said the shooting happened Saturday just before 6 p.m. at a Jimmy John’s restaurant.

Court records say a former employee got into an argument with several people associated with the Jimmy John’s restaurant. Moments later, the employee’s boyfriend showed up at the restaurant with her 14-year-old daughter where the verbal dispute continued.

Police say the dispute escalated and one of the individuals, a Jimmy John’s employee, 27-year-old Adam White, retrieved a firearm and opened fire, shooting the 14-year-old in the leg, according to court records. The child was transported to the hospital and was listed in stable condition.
White immediately fled the scene but was later apprehended by police, according to a probable cause statement.
