FBI announces new investigations into Biden-era cases

WASHINGTON - The FBI has announced that it will investigate cases, some from the Biden-era White House, Deputy Director Dan Bongino announced Monday on social media.
Bongino, who's a former rightwing podcaster, then listed some of the cases the bureau will either "re-open, or push additional resources and investigative attention."

D.C. pipe bombing investigation
The backstory:
The FBI is still searching for the mysterious pipe bomb suspect who planted explosive devices near the RNC and DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C.
The bombings, which did not detonate, took place just hours before the violent insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021.

The FBI has assessed over 600 tips, reviewed about 39,000 video files and conducted more than 1,000 interviews over the past four years.

FBI updates on Jan. 6th pipe bomb suspect search
The FBI is offering a $500,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect accused of placing pipe bombs near the offices of the Democratic National Committee and Republican National Committee on January 5, 2021.

The person also wore or carried a backpack containing the bombs.
Cocaine discovered at White House
The backstory:
The White House was briefly evacuated in July 2023 evening while then-President Joe Biden was at Camp David after the Secret Service discovered suspicious powder in a common area of the West Wing, and a preliminary test showed the substance was cocaine.
Secret Service agents were doing routine rounds on Sunday when they found the white powder in an area accessible to tour groups, not in any particular West Wing office, the officials said.

Cocaine in White House investigation
The White House has responded to the Secret Service investigating cocaine found inside the West Wing.
According to FOX News, President Donald Trump said in an interview he believes former President Joe Biden or his son, Hunter Biden, left behind the infamous bag of cocaine at the White House.
"So … who actually left the cocaine in the White House?" The Spectator's Ben Domenech asked Trump.
"Well, either Joe or Hunter," Trump responded. "Could be Joe, too."
Leak of the Supreme Court Dobbs' case
An investigation by the U.S. Supreme Court failed to identify the culprit who leaked a draft Court decision that signaled the overturning of Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling the legalized abortion at the federal level, according to FOX News.
On May 2, 2022, Politico published a draft of the decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the major abortion case that would eventually overturn Roe v. Wade.
