Union Pacific's 'Big Boy' steam train making first-ever trip to Northeast for America's 250th

In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, Union Pacific's famed Big Boy No. 4014, the world's largest operating steam locomotive, will journey to the East Coast this summer for the first time ever.
What we know:
Union Pacific says the train will begin its journey on May 30 from its headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska and then travel to major display events in eight cities and more than 50 whistle-stops in 10 states, including stops for the first time in Indiana, Ohio, New York and Pennsylvania.

According to Union Pacific, Big Boy No. 4014 is the world’s largest operating steam locomotive. Twenty-five "Big Boys" were built during World War II, but only eight survived. No. 4014 is the only one in operation.
